This is a short film called "Seen"

The way they edited the film was very dramatic to the point where I felt quite intense for a moment. The film did excellent job of capturing the audience's attention by their edits.

The shot where the boy looks off the binoculars and trail off was a great shot to show how hurry he was in when the camera moved its focus from the boy to the binoculars on the ground.

Also the camera movement was great when the boy was running off. If the camera was filmed steady, the feeling of the scene would have been quite different compared to the shaky camera action which shows the tense moment of the boy running off until he runs into his home.

Then the jump cut follows as the boy is retrieving from school which is supposedly to show this is a different day after the incident.

The edit from a scene where the boy opens his front gate and walks into his yard to find himself with a binocular was the highlight of the film in my opinion. As the boy finds the binoculars, the camera focus actually move from the boy to the binoculars; right afterwards, the shot is filmed from the behind to express the view point of whatever was behind the boy to let the audience know something is behind him. Also the background music adds intensity to the shot when the boy is walking towards the binoculars and the shot is from the behind the boy.

There weren't much exciting edits within the films; however, the method of edits were strong enough to express what they were going after, to give intense atmosphere, which clearly reached out to the viewers.
